"I have been with Yahoo for almost a year and have had only one incident of downtime which was resolved within minutes... My last host struggled to keep my website online for more than 24 hours and I was glad after I made the move to see a dramatic difference. My clients are much happier now as are we!"

"I was a bit worried when switching hosts that the control panel would cause a problem for me. The one host before used cPanel and it took me a lot of time to get used to that but Yahoo's control panel is just as easy. There help centre and promotional guides give me everything I need to manage and optimise my site. I have been with Yahoo for 4+ months now and cannot fault their service, nice work Yahoo!"

"A bit expensive in price but Yahoo does the job for me. Support tickets are usually answered promptly with no hassle, they take care of things for me being a very basic user. When choosing a host good support is top priority, just like I said... Yahoo does the Job!"

Yahoo are mainly known for their search engine service and instant massager, but they also offer hosting services and domain registration, mainly geared towards the small business market. Yahoo like most hosting companies are now offering unlimited diskspace and bandwidth.
Yahoo offers the small business customer a very feature rich took kit for building your own website. 1-click contact forms, complex photo galleries, shopping carts, and in-depth statistics are just some of the features included in Yahoo's hosting plan. We do however find Yahoo to be a bit on the expensive side, at $7.95 a month for a one year web hosting plan and $12.95 if you want to go month to month. But if you are looking big brand name hosting with one click features, then yahoo would be a good choice for you.
Yahoo's uptime has been a little shaky as of late, even with its hundreds of datacenters world-wide. Yahoo does seem committed to fixing their downtime issues and getting themselves back on track. With a brand name as large as Yahoo, we would be very suspired if these issues last long.
Yahoo's customer service is what you would expect from a company it's size - fast and reliable. They offer 24/7 phone and email support and generally respond with in the hour. Yahoo does outsource most of their customer service overseas which can get a little frustrating when there is a language barrier. However, their techs do seem knowledgeable, and ready to help. And the fact that the phone number is US based, you won't have a huge phone bill to deal with.
Yahoo uses a proprietary control panel with many custom features. We found their control panel to be very intuitive and easy-to-use. Getting a simple Web site set up was fast and simple, even for first-timers. We also like the way they there reporting is laid out. We found it very simple to understand just where your visitors are coming from and what they are doing on your Web site once they are there.
Yahoo is a large company that gives and gives you the support you would expect. They have an easy-to-use control panel for beginners, but webmaster might find it a bit lack luster. They are kind of pricy compared to most of their competitors, but with their custom small business tools, they are a solid buy for people starting a business online for the first time.
